Sondra Oster Baras

Sondra, from Ohio, has been like family since our first meeting in 2011. A passionate advocate for Israel's settler movement, she bridges gaps between Christians and Jews. With expertise in law and Torah teachings, she fosters understanding between our communities.

Sondra Oster Baras

I first met her in 2011 when she and Dror Vanunu were our first Israeli Orthodox guests or Religious Zionists. Sondra is another guest I count as family. As Christians, it is hard for us to understand that there are many Jews that still believe all Christians are bad. We have given them substantial evidence of that for much of the last 2000 years. Just as 99% of Christians know no religious Jews, 99.9% of religious Jews know no committed Christians. Sondra was raised in Ohio, graduated from Columbia Law School, passing the bar in the U.S. and Israel. She and her husband live in Karnei Shomron, where for forty years, they have raised their family. You will not find a better advocate for the settler movement in Israel and for connecting Christians to Biblical Israel. The major part of the work for CFOIC is centered in Judea and Samaria. You can ask Sondra any question as she understands us sometimes better than we (Christians) understand ourselves. There are many videos for CFOIC, but an interesting site is FACING THE DIVIDE, a frank conversation between a Christian and a Jew. She also teaches a weekly Torah class that you will want to join.
