Rabbi Yosef Abrams

Rabbi Shlomo Abrams introduced me to his father, Rabbi Yosef, sparking insightful discussions on Christian-Jewish friendship. Rabbi Yosef's Torah lessons emphasized the need to bridge the gap between our communities.

Rabbi Yosef Abrams

Once, Rabbi Shlomo Abrams called me and asked if he could bring his twins (he has two sets) to the Lake for an overnight stay. We were honored to have them. He told me he was bringing me a present...it was his dad, and he was true to his word. Rabbi Yosef was a gift from heaven to me. As the kids played, we talked and talked, and I learned so much. Rabbi Abrams asked me a curious question. "Ann, are there actually more Christians like you who welcome the Jewish people as friends and have no agenda on their part but friendship?" If you are a Christian reading this, our behavior toward the Jewish people has been most shameful. It still amazes me that Jewish people think that someone like that is rare. We both have the same problem, Christians don't know serious Jewish people, and serious Jewish people don't know Christians. After that visit, Rabbi Josef Abrams taught his family Torah lessons from the Psalms, and I was included on zoom. I counted that a great honor When Americans for a Safe Israel went to Jerusalem in May 2019, Rabbi arranged for us to have a Five Star tour of Aish HaTorah. We had a beautiful lunch, and Rabbi Yosef Abrams taught the history of Jerusalem. It was also Jerusalem Day!
