Helen Freedman

Helen Freedman, AFSI's former Director, was not only a mentor but also a tireless advocate for Judea and Samaria. Her influence continues to inspire support for sovereignty in the region, echoing the concept of "The Butterfly Effect."

Helen Freedman

Helen, of blessed memory, was the Director of AFSI for many years, but much more; she was my mentor and friend. There was no better spokesperson for the rights of the Jewish people to a Whole Israel, to Historic Israel than Helen Freedman. I once sent her the book; Andy Andrews wrote a book called The Butterfly Effect. It is a little history book on how seemingly one person can change the course of history. Through the years, I have probably purchased 150 of those little books. Helen spent most of her life fighting for Judea and Samaria. I believe with my heart that today's groundswell of support for sovereignty for Judea and Samaria can be traced back to a few people, and Helen Freedman is one of those. This is one of many Youtube videos of Helen. I was with her on this visit. David Wilder did the interview. "The Butterfly Effect rests on the notion that the world is deeply interconnected, and one life can greatly influence a much larger complex."
