An early visitor, he represented the Gush Katif Refugees, highlighting the complexities of Israeli history. His advocacy underscored the futility of land concessions for peace.

Dror Vanunu

One of our first visitors. He was the spokesperson for the Gush Katif Refugees. If you know nothing about the refugees, I highly recommend you google Gushving Katif. Removing Jews from their homes is one of the ugliest parts of the State of Israel's history. He was a young, articulate, and attractive man. They couldn't have picked a better spokesperson. Again, I would like you to learn about this story. What has come out of the horror of Gush Katif is that the Israelis realize there will be no peace in giving away land. Anita Tucker, "the Celery Lady," remarked they were escorted by Ariel Sharom to Gaza after the Six-Day War. He told them..."make the desert bloom". I remember her telling us an old Arab came to their home and offered bread and olive oil. He said, you are welcome here, but the land is cursed; nothing will grow here; there is nothing but sand. How wrong he was or google Anita Tucker, The Celery Lady. an interview by Eve Harrow.
